20th March 2026 : Spring Equinox Ceilidh @ The Hall, Exeter

Join us as we celebrate the Spring Equinox with an evening of folk music and dance! Whether you’re a seasoned dancer or have two left feet, come mark the start of spring with live tunes, friendly faces, and the delightful chaos of community ceilidh dancing.

26th June 2026 : Ceilidh For Ukraine

Blue Jewel Ceilidh Band are delighted to be playing a ceilidh on Friday 26th June 2026, at Hunts Cider Barn, near Stoke Gabriel, the fifth such event to raise funds for Ukrainian Action, a fantastic charity which is sending convoys of trucks with humanitarian aid from the UK to Ukraine. 

Blue Jewel Ceilidh Band (whose members are from Totnes and Stoke Gabriel) will be providing fabulous music and calling the dances. 

A number of men from Stoke Gabriel and nearby have been drivers on Ukrainian Action convoys taking trucks full of aid supplies from South Devon to Poland, where Ukrainian volunteers take them on to their final destinations near the front line. Since March 2023 Team Devon has grown to 25 drivers, and has driven 56 vehicles to Poland or Ukraine, 23 of which have been donated by Team Devon members. They have raised over £140,000 for Ukrainian Action, including over £16,000 by harvesting, processing and selling firewood in Stoke Gabriel and nearby. Stoke Gabriel resident Neil Millward, who is one of the convoy drivers, and is organising the ceilidh, said “It’s going to be another fun evening – great music and dancing – and the proceeds will help the long suffering people of Ukraine.”
