Why Blue Pearl?

Pearls – round, shining, beautiful, precious – represent the fulfilment and wholeness that is the potential for every human being.  Pearls only grow with the impetus of some ‘grit’.  In the same way, human fulfilment does not come without negotiating obstacles.

Blue Pearl is an image for the planet earth seen from space.  Like the pearl, a beautiful image of wholeness, but this time on a big scale. It reminds us of our place in the greater scheme of things, and of the urgent need for our human economy to move into harmony with the earth’s ecosystems.  There is only one earth, with finite resources.  In the industrial economies, we live as if there were no such limit.
